The Civil Engineering Department of VVIET was started in the year 2006 with an intake of 60 students. Department of CE is committed to impart Technical & Research based quality education. The department also focuses on infusing confidence in the minds of students and to develop them as entrepreneurs.

It develops expertise for consultative activities by providing opportunities for industry – institute interaction. It is also constantly upgrading the technical expertise for producing competent professionals to cater to the needs of society and to meet the global challenges. Much care is taken to involve the faculty to take an active interest in mentoring the students. Students of our department actively participate in National and International level events organized by various industry and educational institutions. A good number of Students are well placed in reputed organizations. The department is also accredited by NBA.

The Department has an R&D Center affiliated to VTU and an Incubation Center which is facilitating the students to acquire practical knowledge. The department has MOU with ACC and BAI to have mutual intentions to jointly work on projects required for industries and research needs.

The M.Tech programme with specialization Computer Aided Design of Structures (CADS) was run till the year 2020. PG students have achieved TEWELVE Ranks since inception.

Many alumni are working in established and reputed companies with good track record.
Few of them have gone abroad to pursue higher studies after which they have been engaged in jobs. Some of them have been successful entrepreneurs.
